Theodore,
First, keep in mind that the Norton Utilities 2.0 program is no longer
being updated. Only the virus definitions continue to be updated.
Support for a specific product will continue for 6 months after a new
version is released. Norton Utilities 3.0 for Windows 95 was released
in November of 1997, and support for Norton Utilities 2.0 was
discontinued in June of 1998.
We have a Knowledge Base entry for this. The Knowledge Base is located

Symantec Support or others -
I am getting the same ERROR msg as above (ie, "Whenever I load Registry
Editor I get a message that my "beta" version of ActiveX has expired and
needs updating."). Advice (see below) in the Norton KnowledgeBase does NOT
solve this problem. I should note that I noticed no such problem with
Windows 95: the problem occurred only after re-installing NU95v2.0 to a newly
installed upgrade to Windows 98. Further Advice to "SOLVE" (besides having
to upgrade to NU95v3.0) this NU95v2.0 "bug" would be appreciated.
Thank you,
Dr. Dennis Bogdan
