Dear Sir / Madame:

Through years I have been using Norton Utilities
affectionately, except that in a number of cases I wish they were a
bit more customizable.

This time I would like to apply to a Symantec Expert for a
very special piece of instruction concerning customization of Norton
Protection of the Recycle Bin in Windows 98. In particular, could you
please teach me how to
remove (not simply disable by unchecking 'Enable protection'
checkbox) Norton Protection of the RB in a more consistent way.
Namely, I mean:

1) remove the 'Norton Protection' Tab from the Recycle Bin
Property Sheet;

2) remove the 'Empty Norton Protected Files' line from the
Recycle Bin drop down (context) menu.

I guess it only can be done by editing the Registry. Please,
be generous
to confide to me this one of many Symantec's know-hows.

Thank you.
Respectfully,
Andrew Danilov, <A.Da...@relcom.ru>

Andrew,

You can disable, but not remove, the Norton Protected Recycle Bin.

The only way to remove it would be to uninstall Norton Utilities using
the START>SETTINGS>CONTROL PANEL>ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS control panel.

Thank you for the suggestion, I have forwarded it to the Product
Management Team.

I can't make any promises, but I can say that the more something is
suggested, the more likely it is to be considered.

In addition, you can make suggestions here:

Thanks for using Norton Utilities!
