the real problem is if i use scandisk or ndd under dos both of them will
report no error find, only ndd32 keep say it find error.
so what is the problem ? do my HD going to die or just ndd32 is screw up
? i already try reinstall the whole Norton Utilities 4 but ndd32 still
don't seem to work right.
i am kinda of sure is not my hd problem. since i try scandisk , ndd at
dos , link the HD to other machine use ndd32 from NU 3. none of them
come up any error.
so what can i do ? do i just abandon using ndd32 in NU4 ?
my system is K6-2 350 64MB , the HD has this problem is 4GB in FAT32. My
norton utilities is NU4 i am running win98se.
any advice ?
thx.

Manny: You're not too big. You just have a self-image problem.
Glottis: A what?
Manny: Repeat after me:
I am not fat...I am thin...Women find me attractive...
Glottis: Hey, I never said I was too fat for the ladies, just the
cars.
The ladies like me just fine (heh, heh, heh).
I would check the Norton site and see if there is an update (patch) for your
program.
The following is a personal opinion;
I used Norton products for years in the early days of Dos and Windows and
found them very beneficial. However, I have found a serious degeneration of
the products over the years and have decided that most of Norton's programs
are no longer worth purchasing.
Many of the "best people" who give advice on this newsgroup use and seem
very happy with Norton AV, which I don't use and don't recommend. I use AVP
for anti-virus protection and find it superior to Norton.
As for the Norton tools, I see very little (if any) value to them. Windows
has incorporated most of them, in one way or another, and they are free and
less troublesome.
Again, this is a PERSONAL opinion.
