However, given that set of facts, I see two critical questions being
asked over and over and not receiving a straight reply.
1- Should NN be uninstalled before the installation of WIN98?
2- Will the product work with WIN98 in any form, or is the entire
product incompatable?
I've been using Norton products since the days of the XT.
It's always been a fine company, with generally fine products.
Customer support, however has taken a huge nosedive in the last few
years. With the impending release of WIN98 why should loyal
customers have to beg for a few scraps of information?
Come on Symantec, come clean. Please answer my questions with real
answers.

The only portion of Norton Navigator I know of that appears to work as
reliably on Win98 as it did in Win95 is the Norton File Manager. The
following files may be used to run Norton File Manger only. I recommend
you update Norton Navigator to 95.0.c for FAT32 compatibility, copy the
files below to a separate folder, such as C:\NFM, then uninstall Norton
Navigator via Add/Remove Programs in the Win95 Control Panel.

Thank you for your reply to my questions. I have, however, been
unable to locate the file "symdes4.dll". Could you tell me where I
can obtain it? (I am a US citizen.)
Thank you,
Miles
