Way back when, before I had to reformat my hard drive and then reinstall
Windows 95 and Norton Navigator (and the 3 patches), I could search "all
local hard drives" in one pass, which was a heck of a lot more convienent
that having to do C, D, E, and F separately. Now I've misplaced my note on
what should be entered in the "where" line. It was something with an "L" in
it. Does anyone know?

Thanks in advance.

Yeah, I am. <bangs head against the wall several times> In mine, it's the
right-most icon, but that's it.

Now, how do I delete my other, previously-entered, choices from the
drop-down list, so the only choice I see is "local hard drives only"? I'm
pretty sure that has to be done through the registry.

Um... that wasn't what I meant. I mean the drop down list if you click that
little down-ward pointing arrow--the real left tab. I went into the
Registry (yes, I did export it first), and after a few wrong guesses,
searching on "search" got me to the correct entry. I deleted all the things
like c:\+, d:\+, e:\temp\+, etc. Now all that shows up in that window is
"local hard drives only", and I just leave it that way all the time.

I'm soooo happy! (It takes so little these days.)
