Symantec support sucks!

I have to agree their support policy is very poor. I pay for a product and
it detects a virus and can not remove it, no help online and they want me to
pay $4.95 a minute or $30 for support. I can see charging someone who uses
the internet tools and doesn't buy the product but charge me for a full
product when I already purchased it is ridiculous. I will be looking for
another solution to my security and virus scanning requirements.

In case someone here can help Norton is detecting:

W32.IRCBot.Gen
http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/w32.ircbot.gen.html
in a file called Help.pif C:\Windows\system32\help.pif. NAV says it "can't
repair the file" or "access to the file was denied". There is nothing that
informs me how to manually remove it on their website that I can find. You
can't just delete it in Explorer either you can not access the file. The
system is Win XP. If anyone can help let me know.

Also some recommendations on some good virus detection software and internet
security software would be appreciated. Norton's support policy isn't going
to cut it.
