This behavior has been changed in NAV version 5 so that any missed event
generates an alert and prompts you for a course of action. Prior to NAV
version 5, missed events that were scheduled to occur one time only
generated an alert -- recurring events that were missed did not generate an
alert.

Thanks Joel. Another question relating to NAV 4.08 scheduler: Are
the Live Update Screens supposed to appear on the screen when the
time has arrived for a scheduled event to do it's thing? When a Live
Update is scheduled to happen, the users have no idea if it's
occurring or not. The scheduler is set to prompt them, but the prompt
does not happen. Because they are not being prompted, they think the
Live update is not happening. Therefore some of the users have done
manual Live Updates. When they get to the "Finish" screen they are
told that their update has already been completed for this month.....
In other words, Are they supposed to see the Live update happening if
it is a scheduled event?
Regarding your response below, since this client purchased NAV 4.08
within the past 90 days, are they entitled to a free upgrade to 5.0??

Lisa,

You're welcome. Yes, if /Prompt has been specified in the Command Line field then they
should be seeing a prompt. I don't know why it wouldn't be displayed. They can determine
if a LiveUpdate has been performed by looking at the virus definitions date. You may
contact customer service for information regarding upgrades at 800/441-7234 or on-line by
using one of the links below.
