Could someone please offer me some help.
I'm noticing some strange goings on in Win95 which are as follows.....
When I load any software my screen crashes and I have like parts of the
screen in the wrong places but then after a while of bits of screen
appearing where they should not do my system closes its self down and either
goes to the ITS NOT SAFE TO TURN OF THE PC or flashes up the ITS NOW SAFE TO
TURN OFF THE PC and returns back to the crashed out Win95. Often the
programs stop responding. I had this problem over and over after many shut
downs and re-boots until I turned OFF my PC using the power switch and left
for 20 secs then turned it back on. Everything as i'm typing this e-mail
seems ok but usually is the case until the suspected Virus hits memory
again.
I've got Norton Antivirus with the most upto date virus scan software in
which I downloaded and updated today. Same with Mcafee that up to date also
and neither report a Virus EVEN after doing a full file scan.
My problem first arrised after seeing problems on boot up when I got upper
and lower case text appearing on the what the BIOS puts on screen (before
Win95 begins to load) The HD\CD-Rom settings that appeared on screen looked
something simular to this wEsTeRn dIgItAl etc and weird carectors that
I've never seen before appeared on screen also but since I endered the BIOS
and loaded the default settings then just amended my settings ,everything in
that respect is OK I no longer see upper and lower case text on boot up only
the normal looking text. I still however have the problem in Win95 as
explained as best I an above.
please if anyone can give me some help on how to catch this thing with the
best software going please contact me, i'm now looking for some Virus Pro
how can help me get to the bottom of my problem\s.
Thanks in advance,
Neil

Don't force it, Use a bigger Hammer
I use it often because it can not be infected with the virus that may have
infected my virus checker. You need to be patient the first time you use it.
