Hi Saul,

Moving contacts to a new database is a common question. The following
document provides detailed steps.

Title: 'Exporting a Selected Group to Another Database While
Maintaining Group Information'
Document ID: 1997521164817
Web URL:

I am not sure I understand your second question on identifying the
importation of the two groups, the document above covers this I
believe.

As the document details your can export the contacts to a different
databased. When you are read to delete the contacts in your orginal
database, the easiest method is to click the group button at the
bottom (<No Group>) select your group, this creates a lookup of the
contacts. Select Contact > Delete Contact > Lookup and click the
responses. Make sure you have only a group 1 of 15 or whatever number
is in the database showing on the Toolbar. I highly recommend you have
this database backed up prior to deleting the contacts.

Let us know if we can be of further help.
