Hi Dave,
ACT! can import more than 25 fields at one time. This is a really odd
problem which I have duplicated at various times. It is usually
resolvolable.
Resources play are a big factor in this process, make sure you have
your system optimized. I have a Win98 and a WinNT system running 64mbs
of ram and large disk drives with swap of paging files set to
recommended values found in the following document, use the following
document for reference.
Title: 'Windows 95 System Optimization for ACT!'
Document ID: 199831391553

I have found that if your import file is very large 1000 plus contacts
it helps to split it into at least two pieces. I always insert a field
record as the first record of the import file with the names of the
fields.
Other things which I have done when I do not see all the fields, is to
close ACT! open ACTDIAG and reset the data exchange maps.
Let me know if this helps.
