Is there anyway to Mail Merge an Excel file?

Ideally, I have a Word document with fields in it (letter and cover
page) and I want to also include, as a third page of the fax, an
Excel chart/graph.

I can do this to a single contact by ADDING a file when I go to a
single contact (using WinFax 8.03). However, when i mailmerge, i do
not get the option.

Is there a way to do what I'd like?

Thanks!

Hello Edward,

You have to use an ACT/MS Word template when you are using fax mail
merge.

You can edit any ACT/MS Word template by selecting Write, Edit
document template. Select the template you want to edit and insert or
paste the spreadsheet into the template. Save the changes and use this
template for the mail merge.

I suggest you take a look at this article and send a test fax to
yourself, sometimes formatting gets changed with inserted files.

I understand how to edit templates. What I need to do, however, is
have aprintout from Excel go after the Word template. It is not 1
chart. But a series of charts, graphs, complex calculations, and
formatting. If I Attach the file, it works perfectly.

What I need is a way to automate the fact that I want to MailMerge
Template X.ADT, and then attach file X.xls to the mass-fax blast.

Does that clarify? Thanks.

Hello Edward,

Unfortunately you can not attach files during a mail merge, only when
you fax to a single contact. The entire text you want to send must be
part of the template you are using in the mail merge.

I'm sorry I could not be of more help for you today.
