Hi
Have a kind of problem between both Act 3.02 & Act 4.02 macros
together with Winword office 97. From the File menu, I select the
"Send Fax Using ACT..." command after having written from an
ACT/Winword Template a Winword Office 97 document. If I use the "Send
Fax Using ACT..." command/macro the formatting in tables is
distorted. That means text is placed outside or too high in the
table. When I use the same document and use the Winfax 8.0 macro
there is no such distoration. This happens on all kind of templates
converted from Winword 6.0 or created new in Winword Office 97 and is
same in different machines I am using the programs.
This does not happen when I use ACT 3.02 with Winword 6.0 templates.
Here is no formatting change whether I use Winfax or ACT macro.
Do you have an idea why this happens, especially as both Act and
Winfax are Symantec programs and they do not work the same way
depending from where you start the Winfax commend/macro.
Looking forward to an answer.
Regards Wolfgang

Hello Wolfgang.
I don't know why the same document would look different when faxed via
ACT! or directly via WinFax.
Try pasting the table into the document rather than inserting it.
This document discusses minimizing formatting changes when faxing with
WinFax.

Hello Wolfgang,
ACT! has no controls or settings that can be adjusted to minimize the
changes you are seeing when faxing the document with the tables. Data
other than text sometimes does not always fax effectively.
The only other thing I can think of is to try faxing the document in
SAFE mode. Re-boot your machine into SAFE mode, and attempt the fax
process. If it maintains the formatting in SAFE mode i suspect a print
or video conflict. I'd check print drivers first. These documents
discuss print and video conflicts.
