I am interested in importing my weekly new contact information from
my Toshiba 405CS to my home computer, the database including notes
and history has surpassed one floppy.
Question:
Can I use more than one floppy? Will it prompt me to insert another
one..and to continue?
Would it be more efficient..to just go out and purchase a zip drive?
I appreciate your help...I am not interested in hassling with a
pkzip..it looks to cumbersome...I want the easiest way possible to
keep my home computer updated with the new information that is on my
mobile laptop. That way I have a backup in 2 locations as well.
Too bad there isn't some kind of peripheral link, that I could
purchase ...and link the two computer systems for this purpose of
data transfer.
Thanks for your help.

Hi Jim,
If both machines are Win95 then you can purchase a cable and use the
Windows Direct link to connect the two computers and copy information
from one hard drive to another. This option would replace the database
if the database names are the same on both machines. For additional
information check your Windows documentation on direct link
As long as you are using the same OS, Win95 and same verison of ACT!
3.0 the using Microsoft backup would allow the database to be expanded
onto mulitiple floppies.
Third option is to use a Parallel port zip drive. I personally use
this to transfer databases back and forth between work and home.
We appreciate your use of Online Services.
