I'd like to export the info on the notes/history tab to a text
delimited file for importing into another application but cannot find
out how. Is this possible? I'm running ACT! 3.0. Please help.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Ted,

ACT! 3.0 by design does export notes using the export wizard. The
export routine is only reading a single file, the contact file (DBF).
Notes are stored in the Binary Large Object file (BLB) which is a
second file.

The only substitute is to filter the Notes history report for notes
only and print to File-Editable Text.

Let us know if we can be of further help.

I don't get the option to send the report to a File-Editable Text.
My options are Printer, Preview, Fax, E-mail, and File. If I select
File, it saves it in a .rpt format. Is this a capability that was
added after version 3.0?

Hi Ted,

This is an option with ACT! 3.08 which is what I have currently
installed on a Win95 machine for testing. I believe it was added with
v3.06. You can update by selecting Help > Liveupdate, this will update
your program.

If you have to download the files then the update is tricky. The
downloadable files are ACT307.EXE and 308_US32.EXE. You must update
using ACT307 first then update a second time with 308_US32 to obtain
the current version 3.08. Here is a URL if you need to download.
