I run ACT on my home computer & my Toshiba Laptop at work. I have
version V3.0. When I first got started using ACT, I decided to
export all of my contact records, including new prospects to a 3"
floppy. It now appears that I have too many contacts and information
including history and notes to export to a floppy. My question: What
is the simple way to continue updating my home computer with the new
information the Lap top encounters and vica versa? Am I destined to
have to purchase a zip drive? or do I need to put everything on more
floppies? I am not sure that ACT will continue to export on
additional floppies. I like your product, and really appreciated
your help with Database Maintenance recently...I have engaged that
practice at least once a week....and have ceased gettiing invalid
page fault errors. Thanks for your help,
Jt

Hi J,

You will have to use a compression utility like PKZIP if you want to
continue to use floppies. The following document provides the steps to
backup your database using PKZIP and provides a URL for downloading
this utility.
