Configuration Information:
Operating system: Windows 95a
Network: --Other--

I am running Virtual PC with act V 3.06.

On the MAC I compress and re-index data base file.

Then save as ACT0920 to desk top

I drag to Virtual PC desktop

I open ACT Version 3.06

I open new file named ACT0920

The process starts and runs for about 5 minutes and then says "Data
base file is damaged"

Any ideas.

I have opened a different ACT DATABASE running ACT on Virtual PC
before, but can not open this one. On the MAC side the DATABASE file
ACT0920 seems to be working fine.

Thanks, Douglas

Hi Douglas,

The error appears to indicate it is running into corruption. On the
Mac side I would split this database into at leas two chunks, giving
them new names and copying the database (all 15 data files) to the PC
and ACT! 3.06. Open both new databases. The process of creating two
databases from the orginal may be enough to clear up the corruption.

Let us know if we can be of further help.
