I use Act 3.0.2 and plan on purchasing two Palm Pilot IIIs. I use
Act on my Office PC and My Home PC and want to be able to keep
everything is sync with both of the Palm Pilots and the PCS. I want
to be able to have the data bases on both Palm Pilots be the same.
Two people will be sharing the data bases on the Palm Pilots.
In addition, in ACT, I have multiple Data Bases. Does the interface
software support keeping everything in Sync and also does it support
the multiple data bases I now have in Act?

On this page scroll down to Personal Digtal Assistants and select
PalmPilot from the "Select a Category" window and either search for
specific messages or click on Browse to view the messages.
First you must have ACT! 3.05 or newer to establish a link between the
ACT! desktop and your Pilot.
You will need to sync the desktop databases prior to linking to the
Pilot. The ACT! PalmPilot software is designed to link a Pilot with a
single database. It is not designed to be used as a sync mechanism to
keep your home and work machines in sync. The Pilot will detect the
difference between the two databases and do a complete sync, which
causes massive duplication in this case.
I don't understand what you mean by two people will be sharing the
databases on the Pilot, the Pilot only supports a single database not
multiple. You can have a multi-user desktop database which can be
linked to multiple Pilots where each pilot is linking to his or her
login to the desktop.
As stated above the Pilot only links to one database, if you have
multiple databases you would need to combine them to a single database
prior to establishing a link.
