OS Win95....Pentium 200....32 megs ram..
Winfaxpro 4.0
receive "corrupted acknowledgement" message when attempting to send
some faxes. It happens when sending from Word 6.0.
I also have been trying to scan from HP 5100c with out much luck. Is
there a cure or if I go out and buy version 9., will these problems
go away?

WinFax Pro 4 was not designed for Windows 95 and hence may not work 100%.

Where does the above error appear? In the send log? Can you view the fax in the send log?

1. Close WinFax
2. Rename the STATUS.FTM file to STATUS.OLD in the WinFax\Data directory
3. Start WinFax

This will create blank log files.

Try some routine maintenance on your system and see if that helps.
Clean up *.TMP files and left over install directories using following:

1. Make sure all programs are closed
2. Remove files *.TMP from hard drive
3. Also check for directories that start with ~
4. Run Scandisk
5. Run Defrag
