Subj: WinFax Pro 3.0 _ Problem sending faxes
Date: 09/10/1998 03:14:59 PM EST
From: JCCmba

I have recently installed WinFax Pro 3.0 on my IBM ThinkPad. I am
running Windows 95 and have Mircrosoft Word as a word processor. I
have tried to send faxes from documents created inside of Word and
cannot seem to communicate correctly with a fax machine.

When the WinFax Pro Status box comes up the Operation Section
eventually states NO CARRIER. I have a U.S. Robotics PCMCIA
Fax/Modem XJ-1560 on my system and although the modem works
correctly, the fax never functions out of WinFax Pro Version 3.0.
When I was asked to select the type and model of fax/modem that I had
installed on my system during installation, I never found the U.S.
Robotics PCMCIA Fax/Modem XJ-1560 as an available selection. The
help section stated that I should use the Generic category, in lieu
of not having my fax/modem available. Please give me feedback
regarding this issue. I have had enough of trying to figure it out
on my own and have reinstalled the software on three different
occasions, to no avail.

My name is Juan Castro and my E-mail address is JCC...@aol.com

Thank You in advance for your support and feedback.

We don't support versions 3.x of WinFax Pro anymore. However, we have left the technical notes on our Web site.

You can access our FTP site for this information.
