Hello,

I have Winfax 4.0 on WIndows 95.
I am able to fax directly from Winfax, but cannot fax directly from
MS Word.

After I open my document in Word, I select Print, then change my
printer to Winfax. After this, nothing else happens, it does not
send.

I used to be able to send from Word using this method, I have no idea
what could possible be different now.

I'd appreciate any suggestions.

Thanks,

Vee

Vee,

Please try the following:

Run the database optimizer utility DELFIX.EXE with the rebuild
argument to repair the database without scanning it.

Exit all programs including WinFax and the CommBar.
Click Start / Run, then click Browse.
Go to your WINFAX program directory (usually located under Desktop, My
Computer, [C:], Program Files, Delrina, WinFax). Locate the file
DELFIX.EXE and double click it. This will take you back to the Run
box.
In the Run box, you should see a line next to Open that says:

"C:\Program Files\Delrina\WINFAX\delfix.exe"

depending on where your WinFax directory is located. Make sure there
are double quotes (") at the beginning and end of the line.
Press the right arrow key to get to the end of the Open field. At the
end of the line, add a space and type

-REBUILD

Your line will then look something like:

"C:\Program Files\Delrina\WINFAX\delfix.exe" -REBUILD

Click OK. A box titled Select a WinFax PRO 7.x Database to rebuild
appears.
Make sure you are in your WINFAX\DATA directory. You should see a file
called STATUS.WFB. This is the main file that controls your logs.
Double click STATUS.WFB. The optimizer utility tries to repair your
WinFax logs.

Sincerely,
