win 95, winfax 4.0, sporster winmodem 33.6

We send hundreds of faxes successfully every day on this m/c, but
there is one particular number we have never been able to send to.
After connecting,negotiaiting ...it sends the first page and after
that just terminates and the log says " No acknowledgement received".
However we are able to send to the same fax number from a fax m/c.

On the other end, they receive the first page . The machine on the
other end is a RICO 3100L.

Is this model compatible with winfax?

I have tried changing the initialization string but it didn't help
neither did turning turning ECM off( uses h/w flow control).

Any suggestions..

Try adding S36=8 or S36=0 to your init string.
