I can only get out of this error by re-setting the computer.
This means I cannot use the send log to delete sent faxes, or to
check if faxes have failed.
I have used Delrina test system with no success.
If I have to re-install, how can I be sure that my phone books and
archived faxes will not be lost, and that I will not have to set them
up again?

Try renaming the STATUS.FTM file with the extension .OLD. This will
reset the logs to a default state.
