i have purchased act 4.0 and am ready to install but am told there
is a patch program on the disk which updates my winfax pro 4.0, and
that it removes the modem configuration from winfax program. i just
have got this proogram operating properly (after several months)
and do not want to start over with modem configuration...i am also
told that the fax wizzard does not complete the modem re
configuration. your comments and advise please.

Unfortunately I am not aware of any patches for WinFax PRO 4.0. Where
did you obtain this information?
