Hello Mark,

Make sure ACT! 3.0 is installed successfully before you try to convert
the ACT! 1.1 database.

Can you open the ACT! 3.0 database ACTDEMO?

Can you create a new database in ACT! 3.0?

Make sure you can enter notes and activities successfully in the new
database and ACTDEMO.

Once ACT! 3.0 is working as expected follow these steps to convert the
ACT! 1.1 for Windows database.

Back up the database files.
Open ACT! 3.0.
Select File, Open.
Change the file type to ACT! 1.0 - ACT! 2.0 (*.dbl)
Locate and open the ACT! for Windows 1.1 database.
Follow the on screen prompts to complete the conversion.

Let us know if you have any other questions about ACT! 3.0.

Hello Patti,

I have carried out the above in ACT 3.0, but still get an error
message. I have moved files that are associated with
Win32S from the C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory to another directory and
re-installed Win32S.

Once Win32S has been re-installed I go through the same procedure as
above, but still get the following message:
Win32s - error act.exe unhandled exeption detected ( code:
0xC0000005 adal.dll: 4c 77)

This happens once ACT has nearly completed the re-indexing of the
database.

Hope you can help.

Regards,

Mark Hall.
