I have created a new layout to be used with a new database I am
developing. Using the design a new layout function under the Tools
heading I created the layout. When I switch to this new layout while
in my existing database it comes up fine. When I switch to the new
database my default layout comes up, but when I then switch to the
new layout I created while in the new database the layout comes up
missing about 80% of the fields I have put in the newly designed
layout. How can I get this layout to come up correctly while in the
new database.
Thanks
Hello Tom,
A layout must be created with the dB it is to be used with. That is
you must have the dB you are going to use the layout with opened at
the time you create the Layout.
>>>
Also if any new fields are to be added, they must be added to the dB
via Edit Define Fields first. Then they are added to the Layout via
Tools / Edit design layout using the Fields tool option. A field
can only be used once.
>>>
If you plan on distributing this dB and the Layout, Please see the
following on-line Knowledge Base document.
