Hello John,
Are you using the ACT! 2.0 version? If so, then make sure that you
are not exporting the file as Delimited or something. This will cause
you to lose the History etc. Also, make sure that all the databases
are Compressed and Reindexed prior to doing this. You can follow
these steps. To Compress and Reindex the 2.0 database use these
steps:
1. Back up the database.
2. Close ACT!
3. Locate and delete the database index files. Index files are
database files that have an extension that ends in x (*.adx, *.mdx)
4. Select Start, Run.
5. Type: C:\Actwin2\Actwin2.exe /
6. ACT! will open without opening a database.
7. Select File, Reindex
8. Select the database you want to reindex
Once the reindex is complete, select File, Open to open the database.
Let me know if you have any further questions.
