Hello Neil,
What version does the Help /About ACT! show that you have?
Is this computer a stand alone or networked computer? If networked,
is ACT! installed Locally?
What Save function are you doing when the error occurs.?
Does it happen when a different dB is open?

Looking forward to your reply.

I've reindexed and compressed the database, more than once.
ACTDIAG reports all's well.
Hope this helps.

Hello Neil,
The key is ACTDEMO does not produce the same error.
This document includes the process of deleting index files and
reindexing the database.

3.0?'

If you continue to have problems with the database after deleting
index files and reindexing you can create a new database and
synchronize the existing database with the new one. Then work with the
new database, archiving the existing one.
This document explains how to synchronize two databases.
