When I try to Synchronize on my 486 Laptop, with Act 3.08 for Win.
3.1, I get the following message:
CANNO INITIALIZE MODEM. MAKE SURE THAT YOUR MODEM IS TURNED ON AND
CONNECTED TO THE COMPUTRER.
When I go in Terminal program, I can dial out. Let me know. Thanks.

Hello Gilles,

This article from ACT!'s knowledge base helps with most modem
problems.

This on discusses a modem synchronization setup. Since you want to
synchronize via modem once you get past the error I thought this
article would come in handy.
