Hello Lloyd,
Create a new database and import the two databases into the new one.
In the Import Wizard Panel that asks what type of contacts you want to
import, select Options and specify how ACT! is to handle the various
types of data, Contact Records, Notes/History, Activities, and Group
Records.
You can set the merge criteria, what data is used to determine if
contact records match in Edit, Define Fields. Click the Advanced Tab.
At install ACT! sets the match fields at 1. Company, 2. Contact and 3.
Phone.
Let us know if there are any other questions we can help you with.
