I am installing a new Windows NT network. The problem is that my act
reports are printed with all the data fields black and unreable. I
have Act installed on the server and also on a stand alone, it is
only the server that i am having trouble with. Can you please advise
me if there is a fix for this or if I need to keep ACT on stand
alones only
Thank You

Hello Woody,
The following document is from ACT!'s Knowledge Base,
http://service.symantec.com/knowbase/. It addresses the problem of
blacked out fields for reports.
Data Fields Blacked Out when Printing Reports, Envelopes, or Labels
Document ID: 19971111115758
Situation:
When you print reports, envelopes, or labels, all the data fields are
blacked out. Updating the printer drivers has not helped the problem.
Solution:
The default fill color for reports, envelopes, and labels is the
transparent color selection, but for some printers it does not print
correctly. Change the fill color to white by following these steps:
Edit the problem template.
Select the Edit menu, and then choose Select All. This selects all
fields in the template (you can also select the desired fields one by
one)
Position the mouse pointer over one of the selected fields, then
right-click and choose Properties from the shortcut menu.
Click the Style tab and set the Fill Color to white (not the selection
with the overlapping boxes on a white background).
Save your template. It will now print correctly.
