I just received my new copy of ACT! 3.0 for Windows 3.1. I followed
all the directions for installation listed in the Windows 3.1
installation booklet, but everytime I load the initial database I
setup, the program closes itself after a few minutes. I tested to
see if I was inputing information wrong, etc. but all I have to do to
have it close on me is to load the new database. I am running ACT!
on an AST 486DX2 66MHZ with Windows 3.1 and 20MB of RAM. What can be
going wrong? I am close to returning the program after paying
$200.00 for it! Thank you for any help.

Hello Jonathan,

I have never heard of ACT! closing on its own. Let's see if we can
discover the conflict.

Press CTRL+ESC.
End task on everything except PROGMAN (program manager).
Open ACT!

Please let us know what you discover so we can work together to solve
the problem.
