Is there such a thing as ACT SDK: Software development kit for ACT. ACT!
is central to EROB sales system but I need to be able to interface with
order entry applications. I can manipulate the database directly through
the applications but what are the database rules, I see fields which are
difficult to interpret; there is a field that I take to be some kind of
index but I am unable to diiscern what the generation rules are. On the
procedural side of the applications: I have a label printer: CO-Star
Labelwriter which can be launched by macro from the ACT! toolbar, but it
is able to enter a transaction in the ACT activity list. I want my
applications to be able to do that. Import/ Export won't cut it. Any one
heard of such a thing or is there a set of documentation which gives the
how-to???

Hello,

The ACT! Software Developers Kit (SDK), contains information about the
ACT! database structure and how it can be accessed. To order an ACT!
SDK, get document #121 from the automated fax retrieval service
(800-554-4403). Fill out and return the form. The kit will be
forwarded to you.

Let us know if we can be of further assistance.

Hi,

Additional information to my previous message. The SDK I was referring
to is for ACT! 3.0. It has information about OLE and DDE. The DDE
portion should apply to ACT! 2.0.

Thank you for using ACT!

Erob,

Try the fax retrieval service one more time. We did have some server
issues which might have affected the availability of the fax back
service.

You can directly request the ACT! for Windows SDK questionnaire/order
form:

+1 (800) 554-4403 (USA & Canada only)

Request document #121

After the form is filled out and faxed you will be sent a copy of the
SDK.

If you continue to have a problem getting the form please let me know
your fax number and I will fax it to you.

Let us know if we can be of further assistance.
