A customer had been using Act 2.0 on a 486-50 system. Just yesterday
they had deleted the directory with the executable file on it. Upon
re-installing the program, the executable "actwin2.exe" would not
come back. I tried to install the program on my laptop, after
putting the diskette files on the hard drive under a loader
directory, and had the same problem. I had even used their backup
copy of Act 2.0. How can I get this to work again??? I've even
tried to install under a new subdirectory with no luck.

Hello Mike,
I would recommend that you backup all your databases and templates and
documents and then remove any thing that is related to the ACT! 2.0
version. There is also a INI file in the Windows directory that
should be removed. The name of the file is "Actwin2.ini". Then once
there is nothing left on the machine that pertains to ACT! 2.0 then
run the installer again. This time choose to use the Custom Install
and see if that restores the program and the ACT! executable.
Let us know how that goes.
