Problem Converting ACT! 2.1 for Dos...HELP!

I am trying to convert about 6 databases from ACT! 2.1 for DOS on one
machine to another computer that has ACT! 4.0. I was success in converting
on of the databases, but the rest failed.
Any suggestions on how I can get them to be read? I need help ASAP, please!
I have looked in the book for the 4.0 version, but it mentions nothing about
the DOS version. I tried to save each database to a floppy and go to the
other machine and open the file up and convert as prompted to do so. Why
does it keep failing.
Also, I have ACT! 2.1 for DOS on the machine with 4.0, too. Could that be
causing my problems?
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
