Vx, running Windows 98 on my PC. Just upgraded Palm desktop to 4.0.
Everything hotsyncs fine except datebook. No dates come over onto the
PC, and my hotsync log persistently gives me the message:
- The Palm Desktop does not support events before 1970. The
following event was moved to 1970:
, 2/22/1970, 6:00pm

I don't have any events before 1970. I spent an hour on the IRC chat
with Palm support, which advised me to look for any date book entries
that started with a punctuation character rather than a letter. I did
search and found one, which I deleted - but it still won't sync. The
datebook on the PC remains completely blank.
Does anyone have any ideas? I would be eternally grateful.

try to download dbscan from http://www.pimlicosoftware.com. That might
help you to remove the faulty record.

Sync appointments with another Palm:

It hot synchs for me, but it does things that create other difficulties.
They screwed up memo edit.
Wierd things happen when I drag a calendar event.
The phone book is not compatible with the old methodology nor with the Palm.
TODO problems in display options.
In short they managed to screw up every major feature, and I cant even revert
to my old color scheme. Luckily they didnt screw up the PDS itself, so we
should be thankful for that.
