Version of norton antivirus: 4.0

I get an error when updating NAV. I have admin rights. I have tried
to uninstall and reinstall NAV. It's ok on other machines. Only
this machine has the problem.

Hi Gregory,

Thanks for your reply.

I am sorry to hear you are experiencing problems.

We most likely are dealing with an environmental problem on this one
machine. You may take a look at

First you may try a vanilla boot (network drivers included). Make sure
Navnet32 is not installed to a compressed, or map search drive.
-Nav32up.exe will not distribute properly when run from a compressed,
or map search drive.
-If the drive that Nav32up.exe is being run from is compressed,
decompress the Navnet32 folder and all of its subfolders.
-Do map a search drive to the directory in which nav32up.exe resides.
When using a map search drive use a UNC instead of the drive mapping.
Set activitylog=2. Drag & drop custom.nns onto nav32up.exe
-
Check the paths of lines in the NNS file.
Copy _deflt32.nns to test.nns, modify the paths.
Run Setup.exe from the network

Correcting Pathing issues.
Open Explorer.
Open Network Neighborhood.
Locate and open the Server and Volume that Navnet32 was installed to.
Open the necessary directories to reach the destination folder or file
(for example Nav95src).
Select Start, RUN.
Drag and drop the folder into the RUN window.
This path will be correct and will be useable.

Please let me know what you find.
