Configuration Information:
Platform: Windows 95
Network type: Novell
Version of norton antivirus: --Other--

I have found that running a silent install of NAV v5 will corrupt a
previously installed copy of NAV if there isn't enough disk space for
NAV v5 to install. If you manually install it, it checks for disk
space (it needs 50 MB?!) before continuing. The silent install,
however, starts to overwrite the previous setup, then runs out of
disk space.

I have had to go to several offices and manually clear disk space and
re-install NAV v5...

Why doesn't the silent install check for available disk space?

Hi Tony,

Thanks for writing into us at Norton AntiVirus Support.

I haven't heard of this myself, and I do not know why we do not check for
disk space.

I will need to look into this and have our developers see what can be done.

It will take a bit to try this, but I should have something by Monday, I'll
be out of the office Thursday and Friday.

Thanks for letting us know this though.
