Norton Ghost 9 restore of Drive C (OS W2K)

I made a ghost image of my Drive C a year or so ago, and I need to restore
it. The Ghost image is on an external HD. How do I restore it? Do I run the
Norton CD under W2K, or do I have to boot from the Norton CD?
