Hello Steve,
As there haven't been plans to update 3.5 for over 6 months now, I don't
believe that we'll see an update for this issue, especially as it's not
data-destructive and has a simple work around.
In the case of the 630, you only need to boot from an Apple Disk Tools
disk that isn't running 8.1 and then run Wipe Info from the hard disk.
Basically, any method you can use to boot from a system other than 8.1
will resolve the issue for you, allowing you to run Wipe Info as before.
