Hello Don: Your installed version of NUM is not compatible with OS 8.
You'll need to download and apply the NUM 3.5.2 PPC updater from the
following
link:http://www.symantec.com/techsupp/files/num/norton_utilities_vers
ion_3x_for_macintosh.html

This should solve your problems. Also, if you're using AOL 3.01 for
the PPC, allocate about 8 MB of RAM at minimum to have it running
smoothly. If you use any system enhancer such as RAM Doubler or Speed
Doubler, make sure you're as update as possible. On AOL, go to
Keyword Connectix to download the most current updater for their
products.

Hi Chris:

More than likely, what you are looking at is a conflict of some sort.
Make sure that you are running the latest version of IE. Also, make
sure that if you are running external devices on a SCSI bus that the
bus is properly set up, with each device daisychained and only the
last device having a termination switched in.

You say you are running OS7.x, but say that your dive is HFS+...HFS+
is only available starting with OS8.1.

If you are running OS81., Make sure that you are running the latest
versions of all software, including disk drivers and third-party
extensions.

If the problem persists you will need to do some INIT conflict
testing to resolve the issue. Here is a link to an article on that
topic from the Knowledge base:

Hope this helps.
