DiskDoubler corrputing files

Application: DiskDoubler
Operating system: System 8.1

Help me please!! We have archived all our work (sob!) using
DiskDoubler, and am now finding that when expanding Photoshop files,
some are corrupted (they open op distorted). I can't pinpoint exactly
whether it is just EPS files that are the problem, TIFFS seem to be
more stable. Is anyone having this trouble - we have one machine
running on system 7 to accomodate diskdoubler (what bright spark
decided to end compatibility with system 8?). Reinstalling the
software hasn't helped.
I am looking into using other compression software - any
recommendations?
Any advise would be gratefully received.

As to compatibility, it was Apple that ended compatibility with NDD
Pro. Our decision was not to rewrite the program for continued
compatibility with the newer OS. It's already an issue more than a year
old but, in short, it came down to resources. We simply didn't have
enough people around to work on all the separate programs we had going
at the time. We are still looking into other options for our customers
but I'm not sure where that will endup. I know that doesn't explain
much but I hope it helps some.

The reselution is simple. Since you don't have the resource (read winding down
Mac products); "give" the source code Aladdin to incorporate in Stuff so that
they can convert all DiskDoubler/ AutoDoubler formats. If Tiger Software is
still in existence. Give it back to them.

Problem solved. What's the big deal.
