I'm looking in ways to specify relative path names for "output
direcotry" and "input directory" of a project.
The problem I'm facing is that I have one package as its own
self-contained VC project, and it is integrated using Perforce into
other packages which use it. Each such integration causes the path to
be different (perforce allows sort of continous "synchronization" of
integrated parts after the integration).
Using a relative path I'd be able to "include" the project in the
projects which use it and keep the output directory relative to the
"per-user" root of the copy.
E.g. I have "DataStore/Lib" for jar output and
"ComponentModel/Imports/DataStore/Lib" when the DataStore project is
integrated into ComponentModel.
I suspect that maybe Makefile will help here, but would Makefiles
work well with the GUI IDE?
Thanks.
