Transfer of newgroup support to WebGain Inc. - News_map.htm (1/1)

WebGain Inc., jointly funded by Warburg Pincus and BEA Systems, Inc.
Symantec will still continue to provide Knowledgebase and phone
technical support services for the time being. Details about the
transfer of these remaining services to WebGain will be announced at a
later date.
Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the schedule for the transfer of
newsgroup support will be as follows:
April 5th, 4pm Pacific Time:
The symantec.support.itools.* newsgroups on the service.symantec.com
news server will become read-only. All messages will be copied over to
the new news server.
April 5th, 5pm Pacific Time:
The new news server at WebGain will go online. After 5pm, readers should
set their newsreader to: news.webgain.com
* Note: No messages can be posted between 4pm and 5pm on April 5th. We
apologize for the inconvenience caused.
Please see the attached mapping file for the names of the new newsgroups.
