Visual Cafe 3 crashing when I use Code Helper

When I type the some coe like this:

String test;
test.

When I type the "." the Code Helper automatically tries to pop up and
give a completion for the methods supported by String. However, Visual
Cafe crashes when this is attempted. If I use another class I don't
have this problem. Any suggestions of what might be the problem? I am
on a NT4.0 workstation Service Pack 4.
