Configuration Information:
Product: Visual Cafe for Windows Database Edition 3.0

When inserting a specific applet into a new project, I get the
following error message:

Error: D:\VisualCafe\Projects\Code Modifications to be
installed\JaACMData.java(-1):
symantec.itools.db.beans.jdbc.QueryNavigator must be in the component
library or be a local component

I have tried to insert component into the component library using
File - Add component to library - then selecting
D:\VisualCafe\Bin\components\databind.jar. 27 of the 30 beans make it
into the component library. JdbcConnection, RecordDefinition, and
QueryNavigator do not make it into the library.

Thanks,

kln

I have forwarded your message to the more appropriate newsgroup below.

symantec.support.itools.win.vcafe3.database

You can find your question and any response there.

If you came in through the web interface what you need to do is go to
the following web page and under the Visual Cafe 3.0 drop down list
select DATABASE QUESTIONS and then click the Browse button. The
message will have my name on it.

Hello KLN

This sounds like environment corruption. The following steps should
clear up this issue for you:
1) Quit Visual Cafe.
2) Navigate to the VisualCafe/bin folder.
3) Delete the local.rps, vcafe.vws, and vcafe.reg files.
4) Launch Visual Cafe.
