Installing 3.0C update

Configuration Information:
Product: Visual Cafe for Windows Standard Edition 3.0

HI.

I have VC 3.0 standard edition (installed on d:) I'm trying to run
30c_updt.exe. It starts "unpacking" then dies with :

Application not found : Visual Cafe SE v3.0 English

The application is there since it runs. It is in the registry as
well since I can remove it.

What's up?

Hi Mary,

Do a complete uninstall of Visual Café (including deleting the
directory that it was in). After you have done this, reboot your
machine, shut down all background tasks and services, and then
re-install Visual Café. Let me know if you need further assistance.

I tried uninstalling Visual Cafe using Windows Add/Remove Programs
utility. When I select Visual Cafe to be removed, I get the message:

C:\WINNT\IsUninst.exe

The NTVDM CPU has encountered an illegal instruction CS:0921 IP:0101
OP:65 63 68 6f 20

What next?

Try to manually remove all VC files, then do a clean install.
