Hi Judy,

This actually may be minor damage in the database. I recommend setting
aside your current backups, make a new backup, then go thru the Reindexing
procedure using the export/import instead of the copy selected records.
Double check the retrieve spec in the new file and it should print
correctly.

We have a very detailed article in our online KnowledgeBase all about how
to repair a damaged Q&A database. It has complete instructions all about
how to reindex one. You can get this document online at this address:

http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/qa1.nsf/docid/199731962848

If you have the same problems with the new file after going thru these
steps and did not encounter any errors, then the report itself may be
excluding the other records not showing up on the report. A test report
with 1 field that is always filled in could be created to verify if this is
the case.

If you receive errors in these steps here are some other options.

We have a utility that will get the data and general structure information
called QEXTRACT. If the earlier steps in this article do not help, and you
find it necessary to download our QEXTRACT data recovery utility, that can
be downloaded at this address:

ftp://ftp.symantec.com/public/english_us_canada/products/q&a/ver4_dos/update
s/qextra.exe

Besides Symantec's data recovery utility, there is also a popular third
party utility called DTFDOCTR by a programmer named John Dow. It has many
advanced features for repairing damaged Q&A databases. If you would like
to learn more about this software, feel free to visit the following web
page:

http://www.pgh.net/~jtd/

Symantec does have a data recovery service where for a fee you can ship us
a copy of the database, and we will have a trained data recovery technician
work on recovering it for you.

If you would like to learn all the details about this service and how to
contact us to repair a database, go to this web page at:

http://service.symantec.com/recovery/qa/qa_index.html

If you need to speak with someone directly please call our technical
support staff at 541-465-8600.

Hope you are having a great day!
