Hello,

I am using visual page 1.0.2 and have two questions.

1. How do I upgrade to 1.1.1?

2. I am using a database/webserver application "WebClerk"
www.webclerk.com. Some of the commands to retrieve
information from the databse include special characters.

!jit=0;*tc_City!, !jit=0;*tc_State!
Visual page converts the * character to Š

!jit=0;·tc_City!, !jit=0;·tc_State!
The database program then fails to retrive the correct
record because the variable name has been changed.
Is there a way to have visual page not convert this
character either through preferences or tags?

I did read another forum message about a similar problem involving
cahracter formatting which described using BBedit to replace all such
characters, but would like to avoid that approach if possible.

James -

You should have received a card with a username and password with your
purchase of Visual Page. If you cannot locate this card or otherwise just
don't have one, you will want to contact our dedicated customer service
representative tha handles all Username/PW issues.

Drop them an e-mail at the following address explaining your situation. Be
prepared to provide some evidence of your original purchase of the
product.

Unfortunately, Visual Page cannot be changed or instructed to cease this
ISO-8859-1 character translation functionality. Your only option to
restore the original ASCII character from its ISO-8859-1 equivalent, which
Visual Page keeps changing it to, using another editor.
