Is it really possible to transform a spreadsheet to tables in VP? I
have tried and have not succeeded.
I've tried with both a spreedsheet program (Lotus 1-2-3 v.1.1 for
Macintosh) and a wordprocessor (Nisus Writer 5.1.3). When I select
the spreadsheet in Lotus, and then copy it into the clipboard. It
work just fine. It is shown in the clipboard as formatted tabulated
text. But when I'm pasting it into the VP it is paste as a image
instead! Why?
When I'm doing the same with the wordprocessor, it works fine. The
text from the spreadsheet is paste as text (tabulated) into the
wordprocessor. If I then copy it from the wordprocessor and paste it
into the VP it is paste as
text. But here I get stocked again. How do I transform it into a
table inside the VP? I have tried several times, but…
I have also tried the same thing with Claris Home Page 3.0, and there
it works without any problems at all. But it doesn't work with
PageMill 3.0 preview version (Mac) either.
Please tell me how to do.

Peter -
Visual Page is designed to recognize spreadsheet cut-n-paste (or
drag-n-drop) data, and automatically make tables out of, Microsoft Excel
files only. The automatic table generation won't work from the other
applications that you mentioned, unfortunately.
If you could obtain a copy of Excel, this feature would work as you are
expecting.

I agree. This is a noted feature request in our database. As of this time,
there have been no announcements made regarding the timing or feature set
of any future versions of Visual Page for the Mac.
Will there be any change in a future version of VP for Macintosh? It
sound a little bit odd to just support cut-n-paste (or drag-n-drop)
from one singel program!
Hoping to see this changed in next version, please.
