This has happened to me twice when I renewed my Norton AntiVirus
subscriptions for two different systems. The first attempt resulted in a
message that Symantec could not verify my credit card information,
suggesting that I try a different payment method, even though I supplied
valid info. So I went through the process again, this time with a
different credit card, which Symantec accepted. Then subsequently BOTH
credit cards were charged for a one-year subscription, resulting in a
two-year subscription extension, but not at a reduced two-year price.

This whole scenario seems very suspicious, as if Symantec is trying to
trick customers into paying for two years at the regular price and/or
getting customers to stick with Symantec longer than they might
otherwise.

Another reason why I dumped Symantec for McAfee. (Not to mention
I get McAfee free from Comcast.(
